Eglwys Cawrdaf Sant. Ym mhentref Abererch y mae'r eglwys hon, rhyw filltir o'r môr. Cysegrwyd yr eglwys i Gawrdaf Sant ac roedd yn eiddo i'r priordy ym Meddgelert. Yn ôl yr hanes, tywysog oedd Cawrdaf, mab Caradog Freichfras, tywysog Brycheiniog yn y chweched ganrif.
Yn y fynwent saif carreg fedd y bardd Robert ap Gwilym Ddu 1766-1850. awdur yr emyn "Mae'r gwaed a redodd ar y groes". |
St. Cawrdaf's Church. The church is located in the village of Abererch about a mile from the sea. The church is dedicated to St. Cawrdaf and belonged to the Beddgelert priory. According to tradition Cawrdaf was a prince, son of Caradog Freichfras, prince of Brecon in the 6C.
In the churchyard can be found the Gravestone of the poet Robert ap Gwilym Ddu and his wife.
