Bodwrda (SH 188272) mewn llecyn cysgodol
yng nghanol y coed, ryw 2km dwyrain o Aberdaron. Yr oedd y plasty yn
enwog fel cartref teulu'r Gwyniaid.
Bu rhai o'r teulu yn bwysig yng ngwleidyddiaeth cyfnod Cromwell ac yr
oedd Griffith Gwyn ymhlith y fintai a aeth i Baris yn amser yr Adferiad
i hebrwng Siarl I i Lundain. Bu aelwyd Bodwrda yn noddi beirdd am genedlaethau.Oedd
o'n cartre'r bardd Gruffydd Bodwrda 1640.

The mansion at Bodwrda (SH 188272) stands in a sheltered valley about 2km east of Aberdaron. This house was famous for being the home of the Wynne's. Members of this family were prominent politically during the time of cromwell and Griffith Gwyn was amongst those who went to Paris to try and make Charles the first return to London. The family house at Bodwrda sponsored Bards for generations. It was home of the poet Gruffydd Bodwrda 1640. |
